The event will take place in Edmonton, Alberta, alongside the Council of the Federation.* All are welcome.
Access to essential medical services shouldn’t depend on a person’s postal code or income bracket. As Federal, Provincial and Territorial leaders meet, this event will focus on the politics of abortion access in Canada. The political momentum around the roll-out of the newly available abortion pill (Mifegymiso) is an opportunity to discuss necessary steps to achieve equal access for all.
Expert panelists, public stakeholders and government representatives will engage in a collaborative conversation about removing existing barriers to medical abortion in Canada.
