From 24 October to 18 November, the government of Canada will be reviewed on its efforts to meet its obligations under the United Nations Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.

Here’s a list of issues that will guide Canada’s review.

Non-Profit Organizations (NGOs) are invited to submit reports up to a maximum of 10 pages (joint submissions may be up to 20 pages long). Submissions are due 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the session (1 October 2016).

For more information and to submit a report, click here.

Action Canada is currently preparing a submission that will focus on: access to abortion (including medical abortion), comprehensive sexuality education, sex work, and conscientious objection. We will be including the submission on our website as soon as available.
